【Print House Session x Yoshiyuki Okuyama x LAG】

The event Print House Session 2023 is held from Saturday, October 7 to Sunday, October 8, as part of a printing and photography event in T3 PHOTO FESTIVAL TOKYO, an international indoor-outdoor photography event. LAG will organize a satellite exhibition Print House Session × Yoshi-yuki Okuyama × LAG from Saturday, October 13 to Saturday, November 11.

Print House Session 2023 is a project, that is imagined as if it unfolds the sounds, in which four high-ly skillfully selected printing companies and four spirited designers each team up to produce one art book for one artist. This year, four different art books are created with photographer and filmmaker Yoshiyuki Okuyama as the guest artist, based on the theme of windows, a new series in which Okuyama himself walked the streets of Tokyo and photographed an enormous number of opaque windows, 100,000 in all.

For this exhibition, Yuri Uenishi, one of the four designers, organized the art direction. In addition to the four types of art books created by the four designers, also display the “trajectory” of the pro-duction of each book by each printing company itself, leading up to its completion. By visualizing the printing and bookbinding techniques and processes that usually are not exposed to through the exhibition, we hope to create further synergy in the Print House Session and lead to the creation of new values and relationships. We all look forward to your visit.
